If you had a band, what would you call yourselves?
Question submitted by Zoot.
The Unsigned Integers. Totally. And then, if we ever got a record contract, we could change it to the Signed Integers. Well, a slightly better, though a tad less interesting, name might be Two's Complement.
What is your favorite cover song?
Question submitted by Ray
Favorite cover song? That's a tough question.. I think I'd probably have to go with Goldfinger's cover of Nena's 99 Red Balloons. It's got a lot of power to it, and they really captured the message the song is trying to get across.
I finally got around to really getting into Pandora, and I'm loving it. I only wish there were a desktop client. I formatted my computer last night, so I don't have my music on it yet, so Pandora is all I can listen to. Unfortunately, that also means I can't search through my music to look for songs to add, so I have to actually think of them. God forbid.
I tried it once a long, long time ago, and it was.. pretty cool, I guess.. but now it's awesome. Quick, accurate, and it even tells you WHY it recommended each song, so you know what you need to tell it to get what you really want. So far, I've created a soft station, a rock station, and a soft rock station. ~_^
In other news, my account on Ageia was approved, so I can try using the PhysX API. Awesome. First I need to learn OpenGL or D3D, though.. Hmm.. Well, I need to install Visual Studio before I can do that.. As well as some 23958034 languages. I do indeed still have much work to do to get my computer ready again, but I'm getting there.
Since I'm no longer running Windows Vista, I can play Plasma Pong though! It just wasn't as fun on my laptop, with a touchpad, and running slowly.. Now I'm addicted. So pretty...
Wow.. Pandora, PhysX, Plasma Pong.. It's P-Day for me!
I've tried and tried to blog. Multiple blogs, multiple services, single posts. I heard about Vox on Inside the Net; described as a service which makes you "want to post", I knew it was for me. I had always had a desire to post, but never anything TO post. So of course I wanted to join! Unfortunately, I didn't know anyone on the service who could give me an invitation.
So I did the only thing I could - googled for one! I quickly happened upon a page in About's blogs section offering invitations to two people who would explain why they wanted one. I assumed there would be quite a bit of competition, but decided to give it a shot anyway, and was pleasantly surprised. There were a mere 5 other posts, and I did end up with my treasure. And.... here I am posting!
So thank you to Shai Coggins of About Web Logs for facilitating this post.
